01 – Contacting Emergency Services

When a loved one dies in a place that isn’t a healthcare facility, like your home, you’ll need to contact emergency personnel before they can be taken into our care. You may also want to contact your loved ones physician as well.
If your loved one dies while in a healthcare facility, they will notify the proper authorities, including the funeral home you may have chosen to care for your loved one.
The emergency and medical personnel involved in this part of the process will help you with obtaining a medical certificate and any other necessary paperwork.
The planning process is a very emotional time and we’re to support you through the entire process.
